L.E.D. Lighting

Installing Light Emitting Diode (LED) bulbs is one of the most cost-effective sustainable upgrades for any home or business. On average, LED lights last 10 times as long as Compact Flourescents (CFL) and far longer than typical incandescent bulbs. We offer new construction and retrofit solutions by Halo, Cree, and Philips. Please contact us to inquire about installing high-efficiency LED lighting and conduct an initial cost savings analysis.

Benefits of LED lighting include:

  1. Efficient - LED light bulbs use 2-10 watts of electricitywhich equals 1/3 of typical CFL and 1/30 of typical incandescent bulbs

  2. Cost-Effective - Because LED's last considerably longer than other bulb types, replacement and maintenance costs are kept low

  3. Durable - Due to their solid state illumination, LED's are not susceptible damage from jarring or bumping

  4. Mercury-Free - No mercury is used in the manufacturing of LEDs

  5. There are several factors to consider when choosing an LED lightbulb:

Desired Illumination - Example: a 3 watt LED provides an equivalent output to a 45 watt incandescent bulb

Color Temperature - LEDs are available in a wide selection of temeratures ranging from warm white (2000-3500 Kelvin, typical incandescent bulb) white (3500-4500 Kelvin, typical retail space flourescent) and cool white (4500+ Kelvin, sunlight)

Standard or Dimmable- Many bulbs are now available as dimmable
